We are truly grateful that you chose to visit Glenwood Baptist Church—welcome! I am Pastor Vincent White, and along with my wife, Megan, we are honored to invite you to become part of the Glenwood family.

Megan and I are both lifelong residents of McDowell County and proud to call this community home, where we have also raised our family. I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at a young age, and then in 2009, I answered God’s call to preach and serve in ministry.

We are both graduates of McDowell High School, Class of 2000. On July 27, 2002, Megan and I were married, and the Lord has blessed us with three wonderful children: Jobie, Stella, and Bayz. Megan serves as an Instructional Assistant at Glenwood Elementary School. Our son Jobie is a high school biology teacher, Stella is currently attending Liberty University, and Bayz attends McDowell High School.

Our passion is to faithfully follow God and shepherd His church with love and dedication. We are committed to glorifying the name of Jesus Christ through preaching, singing, teaching, discipleship, and actively engaging with our community. It is our prayer that Glenwood Baptist Church would be a place where individuals and families can grow in their faith and experience the transforming power of Christ.

I have been blessed to serve as the church Secretary at Glenwood since 2021, where I find joy in supporting our church family and community. My faith has been the foundation of my life since accepting Christ at a young age while growing up at Garden Creek Baptist. This year, I celebrate 20 wonderful years of marriage to my husband, Mark, and together, we cherish our five children and three grandchildren. We enjoy the peaceful beauty of our farm, though my heart always feels at home in the mountains. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited for what God has in store for our church in the years ahead.

Jennifer Morgan Staff

Jennifer Morgan

Facilities Director

Jennifer moved to the Glenwood community with her family at age 3. Most of her life has been spent living and serving in the Glenwood community. She attended Western Piedmont Community College, where she obtained a degree in Design. After becoming a mother, she found her passion for working with children and their families. Jennifer received a degree in Early Childhood Education from McDowell Technical Community College while working for McDowell County Schools at Glenwood Elementary in the Part Day Preschool program and Family Resource Center. Furthering her desire to help others, Jennifer became a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT, volunteering for the Glenwood Fire Department and McDowell County EMS.

In 2002, Jennifer took on another role as the church's custodian. Except for a short break, Jennifer and her family have served the church in the role of Custodian/Janitor, working to ensure the church is clean, repaired, warm (and cool), and welcoming to all who enter.

“As the Custodian/Janitor of Glenwood Baptist, I have been able to give back to the church, which has been the center of many life events for me. It has allowed me time to work alongside my son, daughter, and husband. When I think of some of the most essential times in my life and my family’s life, I think of this church and those who have served and continue to serve. Glenwood Baptist has been the cornerstone of my Christian walk, from being baptized and growing in God’s word to meeting the love of my life and raising my children.
